    Under the direction of the EVP/CFO, organizes, directs, plans, and controls the accounting activities of the Credit Union via the Accounting Department and its staff.



    • Ensures that all accounting operations, reports and records are prepared and maintained.
    • Provides direction and guidance to the respective Supervisors/Managers in the Accounting Department as well as to other departments as needed.
    • Previews Financial Statements, Tax Returns and various specific analyses and reports as assigned by Management.
    • Responsible for and administration of the overall accounting operations and reconcilements, including but not limited to, of Visa, ATM, Share Draft, Audio-Response, and the Credit Union’s bank accounts.
    • Prepares and files all regulatory reports.
    • Ensures all month-end adjusting entries to the general ledger are complete and accurate based on updated reconciled, sub-ledgers.
    • Oversees federal funds daily investment and proper and efficient cash management techniques.
    • Assists auditors by providing information, documentation and credit union manpower to expedite audits and exams.
    • Ensures the application of and compliance with established operating policies and procedures within the Department.
    • Ensures department's needs are met in regard to the employment, timesheets, coverage, staff meetings, counseling, performance evaluation, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees.
    • Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union Service Standards and the Bank Secrecy Act.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.



    • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration/ Finance with a minimum of seven years related experience preferably in a financial institution and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
    • Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups and proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and graphic software applications
