    Responsibilities

    • Performs a variety of duties, specializing in the maintenance of the Credit Union’s VISA card operations and in support of frontline member service.
    • Answers and resolves member inquiries or issues regarding Credit Union card products and services through calls and emails per departmental procedures, escalating situations when required.
    • Completes all aspects of card ordering and maintenance, including PIN and special handling requests, within 24 hours (i.e. one business day) of receipt. Researches and makes authorized member account adjustments, such as late fee reversal and finance charge adjustments.
    • Processes all lost/stolen reports and ensures that “blocks” are appropriate and cards are ordered as requested, FedEx’ing cards if required. Ensures that rejected card orders at Credit Union and card processor are handled on a daily basis.
    • Ensures complete understanding of Credit Union policies pertaining to the ordering or replacement of ATM, debit or credit cards. Follows department procedures for monitoring CAMs and Falcon Alerts, and reports any fraud-related concerns or trends to supervisor.
    • Resolves issues pertaining to card authorizations and declines. This ability requires having a full understanding of the functionality of all Credit Union BINs in relation to the host operating system and third-party vendors.
    • Maintains records and sensitive documents in compliance with rules and regulations, as set by appropriate regulatory agencies and through Credit Union policies and guidelines.
    • Processes ATM PIN-based deposit and withdrawal adjustments and member claims. Assists with the processing of member credit and signature claims and disputes as needed.
    • Adheres to established department standards while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent service to members and co-workers.
    • Assists with inter-departmental cross-training as needed.
    • Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union policies, procedures, and service standards; and with the Bank Secrecy Act.
    • Performs other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications

    Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in a financial institution, in VISA and debit card rules and regulations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups.  Requires proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software applications.
