    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for funding and post-closing real estate loans; including the review of all legal documents for accuracy and completeness, reviewing title, GL posting & reconciliation, loan boarding, obtaining trailing documents.
    • Reviews loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to funding.
    • Audits loan documents. Ensures that all signatures are complete, and notary acknowledgements are clear and legible.
    • Confirms that appropriate insurance coverage for each loan is obtained, in accordance with standards and regulations.
    • Funds first mortgages, equity loans, and other real estate loans as needed.
    • Tracks trailing documents.
    • Prepares wire transfer requests.
    • Posts loans/fees to appropriate GLs.
    • Ships closed files to investor and records vault.
    • Coordinates closing date and fees with Escrow/closing agent.
    • Prepares final loan documents from automated system.
    • Reviews all documents for accuracy and compliance with the loan approval. Ensures that loan conditions are met, and that system pricing information is valid.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent. 
    • A minimum of two years residential mortgage loan closing and funding experience, preferably in a financial institution. 
    • Working knowledge of relevant compliance guidelines for residential real estate lending transactions and secondary markets. 
    • Familiarity with TRID requirements preferred.  Demonstrated sense of urgency, quality orientation, and strong attention to detail. 
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.  Must be self-starter, team-oriented, and goal-driven.
