  • Maintains inventory on desktops, laptops and peripherals for all desktop equipment, including peripherals.
  • Ensure all systems are patched and protected from malware.
  • Maintains up-to-date images for desktop and laptop deployments.
  • Assists other Help Desk team members with escalation for first-level requests. Performs second level support for all Help Desk calls that require escalation.
  • Documents instructional information for Help Desk team members on applications, hardware, and/or purchasing that applies to the Help Desk environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of available tools to enhance deployment procedures. Maintains procedures and tools to manage Windows desktop and laptop computers.
  • Maintains an ongoing relationship with vendors for all Help Desk purchasing needs. Serves as technical lead for all desktop, laptop and peripheral equipment purchasing, troubleshooting and deployment.
  • Evaluates new desktops and laptops for implementation within the UNIFY environment


  • Performs application testing and deployment.
  • Stays current in field, including attending appropriate training sessions.
  • Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union Service Standards and the Bank Secrecy Act, as well as other applicable Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college or technical schooling preferred.


A minimum of three years’ Help Desk experience is required, specifically with packaging/deploying operating systems (i.e. SCCM), WSUS, Active Directory and Group Policies. Extensive Microsoft Windows client operating system expertise, including development of tailored images for Windows 10. Preferred certifications include MCP, MCSE or A+. Thorough knowledge of desktop software (including relevant Office and IE, as well as Acrobat and anti-malware), basic networking troubleshooting skills (such as Ping, Tracert, and IPConfig), VPN connectivity, PC/laptop hardware, cable/DSL modems, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi Technology. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and to employ good problem-solving techniques.
