Responsible for the installation, administration, monitoring and ongoing support of physical and virtual servers.
Troubleshoots to resolve server operating system and hardware problems.
Coordinates the deployment of appropriate server upgrades and patches.
Coordinates with other departmental team members and/or third party vendors regarding user support issues and problem resolution.
Analyzes audit reports for anomalies and compliance issues.
Provides escalation support for Help Desk.
Assists with developing policies and procedures as required.
Creates and updates professional-level systems-specific documentation.
Serves as a backup for other IT infrastructure areas.
Stays current in field, including attending appropriate training sessions.
Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Federal Credit Union Service Standards and the Bank Secrecy Act.
Adheres to the organization’s policies and procedures, including those relating to change management.
Participates in 24/7 On-Call rotation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires some college or technical certification training (Bachelor’s degree preferred), with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in desktop support and/or systems administration, preferably in a financial institution. Requires thorough knowledge of client/server technologies, Microsoft Server operating systems, and server hardware. Experience with VMware and IIS is preferred. MCSE Professional certification is desirable. Position requires the ability to think creatively and work independently. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation applications.
