Responsibilities

The Position:

The Vice President Consumer Lending will report to the Chief Financial Officer and oversee all company consumer lending initiatives, programs and systems. We are a fast paced, entrepreneurial, customer-focused organization which will appreciate those candidates who enjoy having the latitude to make decisions, innovate and jump in and get the job done.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Oversee all areas of consumer lending operations including vehicle and personal loans, as well as credit cards.

 

Oversee the development and implementation of effective lending planning.

 

Ensure consumer lending operations are compliant with all applicable policies, regulations and laws.

 

Develop policies and procedures to complement organizational goals.

 

Improve service delivery and efficiency through continuous process improvement.

 

Collaborate with senior management to successfully achieve operational goals and assist with long and short-term planning.

 

Seek ways to use first-hand member information to improve loan products.

 

Effectively coach and guide over 40 lending team members.

 

Assume responsibility for ensuring that professional business relationships are established and maintained with members, vendors, and other departments.

 

Oversee the development, analysis, projection, and upon approval, implementation of the lending budget for Consumer Lending and Indirect Lending.

 

Qualifications

The Requirements: 

 

Minimum of 7 years of progressive lending experience in a leadership/management role in a financial institution or financial services organization.

 

Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar major.

 

Demonstrated experience presenting and working with Executive Management and Regulators.

 

Thorough knowledge of financial institution loan products and applicable policies and standards in consumer lending.

 

Coaching/leadership/management experience within past 3 years.

 

Ability to effectively lead team to meet performance goals.

 

Extensive experience in assisting customers with inquires and/or problem resolution.

 

Experience identifying opportunities to enhance customer financial needs, goals and objectives.

 

Demonstrated communication and persuasive abilities, including verbal, written and presentation skills.

 

Heightened attention to detail, time management and organization.
