Location:  Allen, TX 

Responsibilities

Assists Branch Operations management in the implementation, oversight and compliance with the branch audit program to ensure audit components, policies and procedures are followed by branch team members. Provides operational training to frontline team members on Policy & Procedure, process enhancements, and project implementation. Review and monitors operational metrics to ensure quality and controls in the branch environment.
 
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversees and inspects the compliance of policies and procedures through documented branch visits and branch audits, noting findings as appropriate.
  • Assists in ensuring satisfactory branch audits, in areas including but not limited to, cash and negotiable items, keys, security and operational processes.
  • Ensures branch facility, branch equipment, and software is up to date and ready to serve the membership; assists in the contacting of appropriate parties for any maintenance, service, and repairs. 
  • Ensures the application of and compliance with established operating policies and procedures within the branches, including, but not limited to, reviewing updates with branch staff to ensure appropriate knowledge and compliance, assisting in training and weekly branch training calls as necessary.
  • Provides support to branch team members on learning how to avoid and/or improve on audit issues/findings.
  • Develops and presents improvement plans for resolution of consistent audit issues/findings.
  • Informs Branch Operations management of outcomes of branch audits and potential areas of risk or audit failure.
  • Assists in the development and updating of policies and procedures, and subsequent training to ensure compliance with Credit Union and regulatory requirements.
  • Makes recommendations to existing audit processes to streamline operational procedures.  
  • Acts as Branch Operations SME for credit union project initiatives. 
  • Assists in identifying and investigating policy and procedure violations through data research and presents findings to management as necessary. 
  • Monitors applicable member issues and complaints to identify inefficiencies of Credit Union policy and procedures. 
  • Develops and maintains tracking system on branch audit findings and policy and procedure violations.
  • Provides reports to Branch Operations management of the progress of audit and compliance issues.  
  • Assists in the development of effective operational training for new team members and assists in conducting and enhancing on-going trainings as necessary.
  • Attends scheduled meetings and all other trainings, internal and external, as necessary.
  • Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Federal Credit Union Service Standards, policies, procedures and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree highly preferred with a minimum of three years audit experience in a financial institution or financial services organization institution.

Requires strong organizational, analytical and research skills, the ability to communicate highly effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications and strong attention to detail and control/quality awareness.

Certification in various Financial Institution Compliance requirements highly preferred.

Requires travel with possible extended stays
