Responsibilities

Responsible for accepting and processing Real Estate loan applications which includes:

 

  • Inputs loan data into loan origination system
  • Contacts members upon loan approval and discusses terms and conditions of the loan within established time frames. Provides loan information to members in person and on the phone. This includes information concerning both new and existing Credit Union loans.
  • Corresponds and communicates with members to obtain all documents necessary for pending loans. Mails form letters and loan forms to members.
  • Reviews all documentation for accuracy and completeness, within established time frames.
  • Maintains quality and accuracy rating on loan fundings within established department requirements.
  • Maintains pending loan files and follow-up procedures, and ensures that needed actions are taken within established time frames.
  • Records approved loan change agreements and extension agreements in the computer system.
  • Cross-sells Credit Union products and services.
  • Prepares and mails out remote loan officers’ denial letters.
  • Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Federal Credit Union Service Standards and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required with two years of loan processing experience required, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Familiarity with TILA/RESAP Integrated Disclosure Rule (TRID)
  • Requires a broad knowledge of credit fundamentals and lending regulations.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software applications.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required, with 2 years of loan processing experience, preferably in a financial institution. 
  • Requires a broad knowledge of credit fundamentals and lending regulations. 
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software applications.
