Responsibilities

The Operations Service Center (OSC) Specialist works closely with department management on a range of departmental projects and organizational initiatives; is responsible for performing User Acceptance Testing of assigned projects; works with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks. The OSC Specialist is also responsible for processing transactions and supports delivery of service on share, money market, checking, certificate, member trust, deceased and IRA accounts, within prescribed, legal and regulatory deadlines.  The Specialist responsibilities also include, understanding regulatory requirements, researches complex account issues and acts as support for the OSC Department and organization.

 

  • Tests new products and services, such as new promotional share certificate types. 
  • Will be required to perform User Acceptance Testing for various departmental or organizational initiatives.
  • Assists OSC Management with all phases of the annual tax reporting project. This includes, but it not limited to testing of 1099-INTs, 1099-Rs and 5498s for accuracy and processing all tax reporting corrections. 
  • Assists Management with all phases of the annual Escheat process. 
  • Validates month end reports and monthly member account statement validation. 
  • Researches and resolves complex and/or escalated account related issues. 
  • Perform monthly audit of work produced by the department staff to ensure accuracy and integrity of completed work.
  • Assists management with projects, such as merger share validation, data mapping, conversion and testing.
  • Supports delivery of service on share, money market, certificate, trust, deceased and IRA accounts. 
  • Assists with daily support activities relative to processing levies, subpoenas, research products and services as well as complex share corrections.
  • Ability to interface with various departments in a professional and positive manner in response to member account issues.
  • Ability to resolve complex member account issues and directs member issues to appropriate staff person.
  • Conduct testing, validation and a variety of department functions as the primary job duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

High School Diploma and two + years related experience required.

 

Operations Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge of all frontline operational work flows, system scripts, product knowledge and promotional offerings to assist team members with immediate support.

 

Legal Knowledge:

Understands the various account vesting options including but not limited to Trusts, Fiduciary accounts, Assignment accounts; POD accounts, Knowledge of rules and regulations specifically related to Account Vesting; NCUA insurance of accounts; Court Ordered Accounts; Fiduciary Accounts: Regulation E, Regulation D, Back-up withholding, 1099-MISC, California Unclaimed Property Laws, California Probate Code, Dormant, Levies and Deceased accounts to ensure compliance.
